Image
Photo By: Daniel Djukic I hope everyone is staying safe during this quarantine! This week we have a super fun summer activity for everyone to try once the pandemic ends! With summer fast approaching many of us will be hitting the beach for some fun day or weeklong trips. A beach is a fun place but it’s another place where you can get a fun alternative workout in! You may be thinking that we are going to talk about swimming or running but we have something way more fun than that. For this week’s alternative workout, we are going to talk about hitting the waves and going surfing. Surfing is not only a great workout but its super fun and relaxing too. When you go surfing your whole body is at work. Surfing Surfing involves a lot of different body parts. To start your arms are constantly at work paddling into waves and paddling up the current. Your arms take the biggest beating while surfing by far buts it’s a great arm workout. Photo By: Daniel Djukic Since you...

Photo By: Daniel Djukic This week we are going to talk about a fun alternative workout now that it is starting to get warmer. Since we are still in quarantine people are starting to get bored and are struggling to get out and workout. Summer is approaching and once this virus is eliminated life will resume and everything will slowly go back to normal. But in the meantime, we are stuck in our houses with not much to do so why not take advantage of that and learn a new sport? For this week’s alternative workout, we are going to talk about skateboarding! We will cover why skateboarding is a good workout and how you can take advantage of this time right now to learn about how to skateboard. Skateboarding To start skateboarding isn’t all about tricks. In fact, skateboarding is just a general term. When it comes to skateboarding, there are different boards. For this week we are going to focus on longboards. A longboard is a longer skateboard and resembles more of a su...

The whole country is under a social distancing order which means you have to stay 6 feet away from other people. When it comes to working out this can be very hard because a lot of places you can go to get a good workout in are closed or too many people occupy the space. That’s okay though because I have some ideas that could help you reach your fitness goals. The activity we will discuss this week is simple and many already know about it. Let’s talk about biking. I’m not a huge fan of running that’s why I prefer to ride a bike. Biking is a great workout and can help you reach many of your fitness goals. Biking To start biking can be anything you want it to be. What I mean by that is you can bike on the road in your neighborhood or you can bike far or even hit some trails. The possibilities are endless with biking. Biking is a simple wor...

Summer is a great time to keep your physical fitness up and to have fun with it. Let’s take a look at some of the activities one can participate in. When you think of summer many people think of heat and humidity. Which makes people less motivated to go and be fit. Although one may think this, I have a few fitness ideas you may want to try out over the summer.  Activities To Try The first activity we are going to talk about is paddle boarding. What is a paddle-board ? Think of a long wide surfboard. On the paddle-board  you can stand, kneel, or sit and you have a single paddle and can row anywhere you would like. The reason paddle boarding is a great workout is because it helps strengthen your balance and core strength as you paddle around. It also gives you a great arm workout. Paddle boarding is super fun to because if y...
