This week we are going to have another fun talk about great quarantine workouts to keep you in shape. The whole country is under a social distancing order which means you have to stay 6 feet away from other people.

When it comes to working out this can be very hard because a lot of places you can go to get a good workout in are closed or too many people occupy the space. That’s okay though because I have some ideas that could help you reach your fitness goals.

The activity we will discuss this week is simple and many already know about it. Let’s talk about biking. I’m not a huge fan of running that’s why I prefer to ride a bike. Biking is a great workout and can help you reach many of your fitness goals.

Biking

To start biking can be anything you want it to be. What I mean by that is you can bike on the road in your neighborhood or you can bike far or even hit some trails. The possibilities are endless with biking.

Biking is a simple workout as long as you keep peddling constantly you will be burning calories. The key factors of biking are distance and speed when it comes to burning calories. The faster and more consistent you peddle, plus the further you go, will burn many calories.

Biking is a fun thing to do and you can go to many places on a bike. You can bike on trails or the road either is fine. What’s important is that you keep peddling and go as far as you can. Biking is a fun workout and I think everyone should consider it.

My Opinion

I personally love biking. I love road biking and mountain biking. It’s a great workout and keeps me in great physical health. I try and go for a bike ride every other day and I try to go on longer bike rides that way I am getting a great workout in.

Right now, I bike between 15-20 miles depending on the day and weather. I try to pick a midway point near the water so that I can take a break with a nice view. I burn between 1,000 and 1,500 calories on my rides which is amazing.

I highly consider getting a bike ride in as your alternative workout. It’s also something you can do to social distance from others. Biking is a fun workout and you will get a great workout in!
