Go Hiking it's Good for You! For this week’s blog, we are going to talk about how to get active off-campus. It’s important to know that your weekly workout routine doesn’t have to consist of just staying on campus. Let’s talk about one of my favorite activities off-campus which is hiking. Stevenson University is luckily geographically placed in a perfect location to make hiking very accessible. From Patapsco State Park to Liberty Reservoir, Stevenson has plenty of hiking spots within a 30-minute radius. But why is hiking a good workout? Staying physically fit while in college helps improve a student’s physical and mental well-being while enduring long semesters. Many students though believe that to stay physically fit they must go to the school’s gym to get a workout in. But that’s wrong!
